FinTech, cryptocurrency and STO / FinTech, crypto-assets and tokenisation
Liechtenstein is one of the leading locations forFinTech, blockchain technology, crypto-assets, digital assets and tokenized financial services. With the Token and Crypto-Asset Service Providers Act (TVTG / Blockchain Act), Liechtenstein was one of the first countries in the world to establish a comprehensive legal framework for tokenization of assets, digital rights and blockchain-based business models. The legal enshrinement of tokenisation enables the legally secure representation and transfer of rights and assets by means of tokens and forms the basis for innovative business models in the field of digital assets. Building on this pioneering role, the legal framework is continuously evolving and is now supplemented by European regulatory frameworks (MiCAR / Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation).
